OMI-M206 Flare IR equivalent NSN 1370-01-048-2138
OMI-M206 IR flare is standard NATO countermeasure 1×1 for various rotary and fixed wing aircraft. Application platforms include AH-1H, CH-47, OV-10, UH-60, AH-64, OH-58 and others. The flare is dispensed from various multiple dispensers such as M130, AN/ALE-40, AN/ALE-45, AN/ALE-47 and others. It is activated using impulse cartridge (squib) type OMI-M796, OMI-BBU-35 or similar. A pyrotechnic safety arming unit (SAFU-1×1) ensures safe and timed operation.
